Sharing the good news
And the people that make it happen.
Dear NEA Community,
What a shift we have seen in the past few weeks and more drastically in the past few days. As events continue to be canceled nationwide and businesses opt to close their doors for the time being, we are aware of the impact this pandemic will have on people across the world and in our own community.
We are currently reminded of two things: what a blessing it is to live in this supportive community and what an honor it is to serve this community good news and important information.
In the coming weeks, we know how crucial it is for us to stand together (metaphorically, maybe not physically!). Many people will be impacted in a variety of ways.
We want people to know how they can support their favorite businesses during this time. We want to tell our audience how they can continue to support you and are eager to develop marketing strategies that will keep your business thriving:
Restaurants: grocery stores are packed with people and often picked over, we can help you let people know what precautions you're taking to keep your space clean and perhaps offer delivery and take-home options.
Banks: now is the time to communicate how to take advantage of online and over the phone services, and get the word out about how you give back to the community.
Car Dealerships: we can help you highlight online shopping and applications, and let the community know how you are taking extra efforts to serve the community.
Retailers: we can remind our audiences that the best way to keep our favorite businesses going strong is to support them with our purchases, and we can do that online or by purchasing gift cards to use in the future.
We will support you, and we want to encourage our audiences to do the same.
Many of the businesses we serve will be doing things that will help accommodate their employees, their customers, and their community, so we want to make sure we are taking full responsibility across our platforms to inform people of how they can give and receive help.
In the April issue of Premiere we will publish a page about steps businesses took/will take to serve the community during this pandemic. And on our new, digital platform (Explore MOR), we have a page completely dedicated to information on local business practices, adjusted hours, community service, etc during this time. Explore MOR is designed to encourage people to eat, shop, and play local. Perhaps more than ever, the mission of this platform is crucial to our community.
Please send us any information on how your business is adjusting and/or serving during this time.
We also want to remind our audiences that ALL of our platforms are accessible at home. Jack, Jill and iRock can be streamed online, Premiere can be read online and also delivers a newsletter, and of course Explore MOR is totally digital. So while many people are staying home, we'll be making sure they can still listen to good tunes and access the good news.
If you have any information to share with us or any questions to ask, please don't hesitate to call a MOR Media Specialist.
As we move forward, we want to assure you that we will continue to serve our community and we thank you for making that possible.
Stay healthy, keep smiling, and keep supporting each other, NEA.

"The B.E.E.S. Senior Citizens, Inc., had an article in Premiere Magazine spotlighting our Sing-Alongs at the local nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Our attendance for this event is usually 20-24 Senior Citizens, but after the article in Premiere we have had an amazing attendance of 42-44 Senior Citizens. I feel this increase in our attendance is due to the Sing-Along article in the Premiere magazine. We also have public broadcasting announcements informing the community of our services on the MOR Media radio stations. I also feel this has helped inform our community of our services and has increased our daily attendance for lunches at our center. I, as the Executive Director for the B.E.E.S. Senior Citizens, Inc., feel very fortunate to have MOR Media in our home town to help us inform our Senior Citizens of our services."
